Deepening Our Commitment to Children Affected by the War

The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI) remains unwavering in its mission to offer support and restore normalcy to those most affected by the war in Ukraine. Focusing primarily on children and educational support, TEEI’s initiatives are designed to address the urgent needs of young minds and their families.

Recovery Camp for Ukrainian Children

In March 2022, the Sincere Heart Foundation launched the “Recovery Camp” in Lviv, Western Ukraine. This sanctuary provides psychological help and emotional rehabilitation for children and mothers deeply affected by the war.

These children, who have faced the horrors of war, including living in bomb shelters and witnessing unspeakable tragedies, find solace and a path to healing at the Recovery Camp.

Since its inception, over 70 camps have been organised, aiding more than 4,000 children in reconnecting with their peers, resuming education, and rekindling lost hobbies. The camp, which welcomes approximately 150 new children weekly, employs a blend of psychology, education, and art therapy facilitated by specialists to help the children with their trauma.

Supporting Core Services and Education

TEEI extends its support to several key initiatives across Ukraine:

  • Orphanages: We provide support and education for orphanages for children displaced from war zones, ensuring they receive continuous support and a semblance of normalcy.
  • Elementary Schools: TEEI runs programmes with elementary schools in the most affected areas of Ukraine, focusing on educational continuity.
  • Humanitarian Foundations: Our collaboration with organisations like Helpukrainedonbas and Illinivka Institution enables us to deliver wide-ranging support to those affected by the ongoing conflict. These partnerships help provide necessary aid and ensure the well-being of communities ravaged by war.
  • Support Programmes for Ukrainian Universities: In addition to our broad efforts, TEEI provides direct support to Ukrainian universities. This includes offering free online education and core resources like hardware, software, and administrative assistance to ensure that higher education can endure through these challenging times.

Strengthen Your CSR Through Direct Engagement

Corporations have an opportunity to make a significant impact through financial contributions, donations of goods, or employee volunteer programmes.

By partnering with TEEI, your organisation can play a key role in the educational and psychological recovery of Ukrainian communities, aligning with rigorous CSR objectives and building global goodwill.

How You Can Help

  • Donations and In-Kind Support

  • Volunteering Opportunities

Volunteers are central to TEEI, contributing in roles from teaching and mentoring to administrative support and programme management. Your skills can directly support the recovery of Ukrainian communities.

  • Join Us in Creating Real Change

The Recovery Camp for Ukrainian Children programme run by the Sincere Heart Foundation is one example of the rehabilitation work TEEI supports; over 4,000 children have participated since 2022. For Ukrainian parents rebuilding their own professional lives alongside supporting their children, the Mentors for Ukraine programme provides career guidance from 400+ volunteer mentors, and Language Connect offers free conversation practice to help with the language barriers that make employment so difficult.
