Country breakdown
Members, active volunteers and active learners per country, for all 148 countries.

The aggregate datasets behind TEEI's published impact figures, downloadable and citable. How each figure is produced is documented separately in the measurement methodology.
Members, active volunteers and active learners per country, for all 148 countries.
The historical half of the record: sessions, conversation hours and scheduled hours as at the snapshot. Citable because it does not move.
Current sessions, conversation hours and member countries, read from the platform and regenerated continuously.
| Field | Meaning | What it is not |
|---|---|---|
iso | ISO 3166-1 alpha-2 country code. | — |
members | Profiles with a valid country code. | Not an activity measure. A member may never have taken a session. |
volunteers | Profiles that appeared as an adviser in at least one booking, or published an offering. | Not a headcount of people who signed up to volunteer. |
learners | Profiles that appeared as a learner in at least one booking. | Not a count of registrations. |
conversationHours | Measured time both participants were in the video room, floored to a tenth of an hour. | Not scheduled duration, and not total volunteer time. |
sessions | One-to-one bookings that completed and passed the five-minute shared-presence floor. | Not bookings made, and not group sessions. |
Public surfaces bucket per-country per-role counts below 5 as "<5". The public API returns only global aggregates. This static contract is the human-reviewed source for per-country figures.
In practice: any per-country figure between 1 and 4 is published as the string <5, which affects 110 of 148 countries. Totals are unaffected; only the breakdown is masked. Consumers should treat those cells as missing rather than as zero.
Nothing at person level. The underlying platform records contain personal data and never leave the source system. Everything here is an aggregate that is already published as a figure elsewhere on this site; the datasets simply make it checkable.
