TEEI Women
Language, skills and support for women’s independence.
TEEI Women brings together free language learning, professional mentoring, skills training and peer support. We connect women with knowledge, practical guidance and people who support the next steps they choose.

Women’s education is part of why TEEI exists.
The Educational Equality Institute was founded to widen access to learning and independence for girls and women. TEEI Women carries that purpose through free programmes for adult women.
A woman may want to use a language more confidently in daily life, develop in her profession or explore an unfamiliar field. She may also want someone to talk to as she settles into a new country.
TEEI Women connects these different needs with relevant learning, professional guidance and peer support. Every participant brings experience and priorities of her own. Those are the starting point.
Pathways to Independence
Our programmes support women’s choices about their learning, work and lives.
TEEI Language
A language to use in everyday life.
A conversation at work, a question in a classroom, an exchange with a neighbour: language learning has a place in everyday life.
Who can joinWomen from Latin America and the Caribbean, 18 or older. The rule is where you are from, not where you live.

TEEI Language gives women space to practise with real people. One-to-one conversations and small groups bring learners together with volunteer conversation partners, around the languages and topics they want to practise.
TEEI Language Courses provide structured learning with teachers, course materials and assignments. Courses and conversation practice complement each other: one provides a programme of study, the other regular opportunities to use the language.
Within TEEI Language, Practice Companion adds independent English practice between conversations. Women can rehearse everyday situations through speaking, listening and writing, with AI-supported practice and feedback alongside their learning with people.

TEEI Mentorship
Professional guidance that builds on her experience.
TEEI Mentorship connects women with experienced professionals for one-to-one guidance shaped around their interests and goals. It gives participants a place to discuss professional decisions with someone who understands the field.
Who can joinAnyone 18 or older. No demographic requirement.
What the conversations cover
- Growing in a current role
- Changing direction
- Starting a business
- Putting a new skill to work
- CVs and interviews
- Working in a new country
She chooses
She picks a mentor whose experience fits her question. Nobody assigns one. The conversations give her room to ask specific questions, talk through her work, weigh options and decide what to do next.

Skills Academy
Build knowledge, and put it to use.
Skills Academy combines self-paced courses, live teaching and practical work. Women can explore a subject, deepen existing knowledge, learn a new tool or work towards a professional certificate.
Who can joinSkills Academy has its own application for women.

AI skills are a central focus within a wider programme of digital and professional learning. The Academy also explores how AI is used across different fields of work.
Workshops, classes, clinics, webinars and expert Q&A connect participants with instructors and working professionals. Class projects and feedback give women opportunities to apply what they are learning and develop their work.
Learning resources include DataCamp and Google Career Certificates through Coursera. TEEI provides access and support, while the providers issue their own certificates and statements of accomplishment.
Women can use TEEI Mentorship alongside their learning for individual guidance.
An instructor teaches a subject; a mentor helps a participant consider how to use it in her own work and plans.

Women Buddy Programme
Friendship and support in a new place.
Who can joinWomen 18 or older who have migrated or been displaced, including Ukrainian and Latin American women, wherever they are.
Getting to know a new place also means getting to know people. The Women Buddy Programme connects women who have migrated or been displaced with another woman for friendship and peer support.
The relationship develops through conversation, shared interests and time spent getting to know each other. It might mean talking about daily life, exchanging experiences or simply having someone to catch up with.
- We suggest up to three buddies.
- She chooses one.
- They can talk on an intro call before they commit.
- Then they meet on video.
In her language
Each reads the conversation in her own language.
- EnglishHow was your first week?
- УкраїнськаЯк минув твій перший тиждень?
- NorskHvordan var den første uka di?
- Español¿Qué tal tu primera semana?
A friend
Not a teacher, a therapist or a caseworker. The two women shape the conversation and the friendship, at a pace that suits them. Anything bigger than a friendship comes to our team, so no buddy is left holding it alone.
The programme makes space for companionship and belonging alongside the practical demands of life in a new place.
Different forms of support, around one person’s goals.
These programmes can be used separately or combined. Women choose the areas relevant to them and move between them as their goals change.
The people and work behind the programmes.
We run the programmes: we bring people and learning resources together, organise delivery and support participants and volunteers.
Volunteers
Conversation partners, teachers, mentors, instructors and buddies give their time.
Buddies are women.
Our team
We place learners in classes, read every buddy application, approve every instructor and help when someone writes to us.
Providers
Learning providers add course access and materials.
We combine them with our own platforms and support.

Together for Ukraine
The same volunteers, platforms and support that run our programmes for Ukrainians.
The two initiatives share people and infrastructure, and each keeps its own focus and community.
