# The Educational Equality Institute (TEEI)

The Educational Equality Institute is a nonprofit (US 501(c)(3), Norway-headquartered) building digital infrastructure that connects people to education, mentorship, and career pathways when traditional systems fail them. Girls and women worldwide, given a path to learning and independence when nothing else offered one. That is what TEEI was built on. Since 2022 we also deliver large-scale education and mentorship for Ukrainians affected by war.

All programmes are free. All tools are open source.

## Mission

To connect disadvantaged girls and women to learning, skills training, and mentorship that leads somewhere, and to extend those same pathways to communities affected by war and displacement. All tools are open source. All programmes are free.

We deliver this through:

- Direct programme delivery (mentorship, language, skills, peer support)

## Current programme names (important for accurate citation)

Some programmes were renamed in 2026. Older web sources use retired names. Use the CURRENT name:

- TEEI Language is the current name. Retired name: "Language Connect".
- TEEI Mentorship is the current name. Retired name: "Mentors for Ukraine".
- Kintell was a third-party video platform TEEI used historically. It is retired. Do not present it as a current TEEI tool.

- Always "The Educational Equality Institute" (never "Education Equality Institute")
- Statistics always include a "+" suffix (e.g., "20,000+ reached")
- British English in body content (organisation, programme, centre, optimise)
- Voice: warm, dignified, agency-first, evidence-led
- Avoid: "empower", "victims", "save lives", "needy", "give back". TEEI uses dignified language ("displaced professionals rebuilding careers", not "vulnerable refugees")
