The gap
Fatima has a business degree from Kabul University.
She speaks Dari, Pashto, and basic English. She lives in London now. She cleans hotel rooms.
The gap between her education and her employment is not ability. It is three things: language fluency for the workplace, a professional network in her new country, and someone who understands what it takes to restart a career as a woman in an unfamiliar system.
Together for Her Success exists so that a woman with a degree does not spend the rest of her life in a job that ignores everything she learned.
Names are composites: real situations drawn from programme data, identifying no specific individual.
