About This Event
May is the perfect time to experience Norwegian “friluftsliv” (outdoor life). This guided hike through Nordmarka forest introduces Ukrainian families to one of Oslo’s most beloved outdoor traditions.
The route is selected to accommodate families with children and those new to hiking. We’ll walk approximately 8 km on well-marked trails, stopping for a traditional “matpakke” (packed lunch) at a scenic viewpoint.

Schedule
- 08:00 - Meet at Frognerseteren T-bane station
- 08:30 - Safety briefing and group formation
- 09:00 - Depart on trail
- 11:30 - Lunch break at viewpoint
- 12:30 - Continue hike
- 14:30 - Optional waffle stop at cabin
- 15:00 - Return to Frognerseteren
Weather Policy
The hike proceeds in light rain (this is Norway!). In case of severe weather, registered participants will be notified by email 24 hours before the event. No refunds for no-shows.

This trail includes uneven terrain and is not wheelchair accessible. Please contact us if you have mobility concerns-we can suggest alternative routes for future events.
