Online volunteering that is an actual hour with an actual person.

A volunteer during a one-to-one video session, from a cafe table

What you’d do: talk with one adult learner, 30 to 45 minutes a week, about work, interviews and everyday life. The platform pairs you, schedules you and logs the hour.

Conversation · not clicktivism

Most remote volunteer opportunities ask you to fit their calendar. This one fits yours.

You volunteer remotely, from your own desk, in your own timezone. You set your availability, the platform pairs you with a learner whose hours fit yours, and the same slot repeats each week. From one hour a week: a floor, not a quota. Pause a week when life happens; pick up the next.

One hour, up close. A standing video call with the same learner each week; no preparation, no homework to mark, nothing to fill in afterwards.

You say hello. Topics are ready if you want them.

Her week, the job search, the presentation on Friday.

The session logs the moment you hang up.

Who you’ll meet

The person on the other side of the call.

Ukrainian refugees rebuilding their lives in Europe, and women in South America building a professional voice. They study English on their own; you are the one thing they cannot practise alone: a real conversation, with a real person, every week.

Questions people ask before they start.

What do I actually do in a session?

You talk. A one-to-one video call of 30 to 45 minutes with the same learner each week: their week, their job search, the small talk of a new place. Topics are there if you want them, but it is a conversation, not a class.

How many hours a week?

From one hour a week. You set your availability in your own calendar, and you can pause a week and pick up the next.

Do I need teaching experience?

No. The volunteers are not teachers; they are people with a language and the time. Fluent English is enough.

Do I get documentation of my hours?

Yes. Attendance is recorded session by session, your hours build a real TEEI Credential with its own public verification page, and a staff-signed hours statement prints from the same record.
