## Online Language Volunteer

- Programme: TEEI Language
- Commitment: From 1 hour a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: Any language you speak fluently
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/online-language-volunteer/

An hour over video with somebody who needs the language for a life they are rebuilding.

### What you would do

More than 8,000 learners have practised a language with TEEI since 2022. What a course cannot give them is time with somebody who already speaks the language. That is what you bring.

You decide how you do it:

- **One to one.** A learner books an hour you opened, and you work through whatever they have to get through that week.
- **Language cafe.** A small group over video, lighter and less exposed, for people who freeze when it is only them and you.
- **Your language.** English is the largest need by far. German, Polish, Italian, Norwegian, French, Spanish and Ukrainian are all asked for.
- **Your hours.** You open the times you can keep. Nothing is assigned to you.

### Who we are looking for

- You speak the language you want to offer fluently. Any accent, any country.
- You can stay quiet while somebody hunts for a word.
- You have a quiet spot and a connection that holds for an hour.

No teaching qualification and no lesson plan. Most volunteers here are not teachers. They are people who speak a language well and turn up when they said they would.

### What you get

You hear the change around the third or fourth session, when somebody stops building the sentence in their head before they say it. Volunteers who stay get a written reference from us with their hours in it.

### After you apply

You verify who you are with LinkedIn, then apply straight on the TEEI Language platform. Once you are in, you pick the format and mark the hours you can take, and a learner from the list books the first one.

## English Teacher for Ukrainian Parliament Staff

- Programme: TEEI Language
- Commitment: About 1 hour a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/english-teacher-ukrainian-parliament/

You teach English to people running a country during a war.

### What you would do

Your learners run a country while it is being invaded. They need English for briefings, correspondence, and meetings with the people who decide what help Ukraine gets.

- Take one level between A1 and C1 and teach it to a group of parliamentary staff.
- Cover general English plus the working vocabulary their jobs demand.
- Put materials and homework in the learning platform so the group can work between sessions.
- Hold the weekly slot for the length of the term, and say early when you cannot.

### Who we are looking for

- You speak English fluently and have taught it, not only spoken it.
- You can hold a group of adults who are tired and short of time.
- You can keep the same hour every week for a term.
- Business or professional English experience counts for more here than a certificate.

Sessions get moved when the week goes badly. Teachers who can absorb that are the ones who last.

### What you get

You teach people who use the language in the same week they learn it, in rooms where the words matter. After a term we write a reference naming the level you taught and how far the group got.

### After you apply

A person reads this, not a filter. The next steps, when it works out: we agree the level and the slot, hand over the material that already exists, and introduce you to the group before the first session.

## German Language Teacher

- Programme: TEEI Language
- Commitment: About 1 hour a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: German
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/german-language-teacher/

You teach German to people who need it for work, school, or an appointment they cannot postpone.

### What you would do

This is a structured course rather than conversation practice: a cohort that runs eight to twelve weeks, with the curriculum already built and handed to you.

- Teach German to a group of adults who need it for work, an apprenticeship, or the paperwork that decides where they get to live.
- Work from the course material we provide, and bend it to the people in front of you.
- Notice who is falling behind and say so early, while it can still be fixed.
- Take the cohort to the end. Learners drop out when teachers do.

### Who we are looking for

- You speak German at native or near-native level.
- You have taught adults, in a classroom or online.
- You can commit to a fixed weekly session for the length of one cohort.

Most of our teachers do this beside a full job. Eight weeks you can keep beats a term you abandon halfway.

### What you get

A curriculum you do not have to build, and a class you take from nothing to usable German inside one term. The reference we write afterwards names the cohort and the level.

### After you apply

You will hear back either way. Taking it further means placing you with the next cohort at your level, handing over the material and the platform access, and fixing the start date.

## Polish Language Teacher

- Programme: TEEI Language
- Commitment: About 1 hour a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: Polish
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/polish-language-teacher/

You teach Polish to families who arrived and have to function in it by Monday.

### What you would do

Polish is the difference between running your own life in Poland and needing somebody beside you at every counter. Our learners are usually working out both at once.

- Teach a cohort of adults over eight to twelve weeks, from the course material we provide.
- Keep it usable: the clinic, the school, the landlord, the office, the shop.
- Tell people where they actually stand, in a way somebody exhausted can act on.
- Finish the cohort you started.

### Who we are looking for

- You speak Polish at native or near-native level.
- You have taught or tutored adults before.
- You can hold one fixed weekly session for the length of a cohort.

Many learners are working, waiting on paperwork and raising children at the same time. Patience is the qualification.

### What you get

You watch a room stop needing a translator for ordinary things, which happens faster than people expect. We write a reference afterwards that names the course and the hours.

### After you apply

An answer comes whichever way it goes. Going ahead looks like this: we match you to the next Polish cohort, send you the material, and agree when it starts.

## Italian Language Teacher

- Programme: TEEI Language
- Commitment: Schedule set with the group
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: Italian
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/italian-language-teacher/

You teach Italian online to people starting over in Italy.

### What you would do

In Italy the paperwork is in Italian and nobody slows down for you. These learners are building a life there anyway.

- Teach an online cohort over eight to twelve weeks, from the material we provide.
- Put first what they use immediately: the office, the workplace, the school, the neighbours.
- Keep the level honest, so what they learn this week works this week.
- Tell us what the group needs next. You hear it before we do.

### Who we are looking for

- You speak Italian at native or near-native level.
- You have taught or tutored adults before.
- You can hold a group and keep an agreed weekly schedule.

Beginners are the norm. Most learners are decoding the language and the bureaucracy at the same time.

### What you get

A cohort you take from nothing to functional without building a curriculum first, and a reference naming the course you ran.

### After you apply

Someone reads it and writes back. From there, if it works: the level and the schedule are agreed with you, and the material is in your hands before the first session.

## Online Mentor

- Programme: TEEI Mentorship
- Commitment: From 1 hour a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/online-mentor/

An hour with a professional rebuilding a career in a country that does not read their CV yet.

### What you would do

More than 400 mentors and 2,000 mentees have signed up to this programme. The people who apply are qualified already. What they are missing is somebody inside the market who tells them how it actually works.

You decide what you take on:

- **Career mentoring.** The search itself: the CV, the applications, the interview, the choice between two bad options.
- **Skills mentoring.** The craft. Their portfolio, their code, their campaign, their plan, held against the standard of your field.
- **Your field.** Technology, design, finance, marketing, business and management, growth and sales, entrepreneurship, personal development.
- **Your rhythm.** One conversation is real. Ten months with the same person is also real. You set it.

### Who we are looking for

- At least three years of working experience, in any sector.
- You can be direct without flattening the person in front of you.
- You are comfortable on video, in English.

Nothing to prepare and no curriculum to deliver. What is useful is what you already know about how your industry hires and how the work is really done.

### What you get

You find out whether they got the job, which is more than most volunteering ever tells you. Mentors who stay get a written reference from us.

### After you apply

You verify who you are with LinkedIn, then apply straight on the TEEI Mentorship platform. Once you are in, you choose your format and field, and we match you with somebody whose search fits your work.

## Career Mentor, Nordics

- Programme: TEEI Mentorship
- Commitment: From 1 hour a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/career-mentor-nordics/

You help someone work out how hiring actually works in the Nordics.

### What you would do

A Ukrainian engineer with ten years behind her can send eighty applications in Norway and hear nothing back. The market is not closed. It is unwritten, and you know how it is written.

- Explain how hiring here works: references, networks, the interview, the language question, what a Nordic recruiter reads first.
- Read the CV the way a hiring manager here reads it, and say what you see.
- Run a mock interview when they are close, and be honest afterwards.
- Point them at the parts of the market that are genuinely open.

### Who we are looking for

- You have worked in Norway, Sweden, Denmark or Finland and know the market from inside it.
- You have hired, sat in on hiring, or been close enough to know what decides the call.
- You work comfortably in English.

Two ways to do this: take mentees when you have time, or stay with one person for six months. Tell us which.

### What you get

You will know whether they got in, and with the six-month option you will have seen every step of how. The reference we write can say that in detail.

### After you apply

You will get an email from us either way. The next step, when we go ahead: you choose one of the two options, and we introduce you to a mentee in your field.

## Community Manager, TEEI Language

- Programme: Community
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/community-manager-teei-language/

You keep the volunteers on TEEI Language from going quiet after their first month.

### What you would do

Most volunteers who stop never decide to stop. Nobody noticed them for a few weeks, and the habit went. A community manager notices.

- Welcome the volunteers who joined this week and help them open their first hours.
- Keep the Groups calendar alive: ask the volunteers who host Speaking Cafés and study groups what they need, and fill the gaps with them.
- Collect what works from the volunteers who stay, and pass it on to the ones who are new.
- Notice who has gone quiet and ask how they are, before they drift off for good.

### Who we are looking for

- You have looked after a community, a club or a team, paid or not.
- You write warm, plain English and you follow up.
- You are at home on a video call and in an online platform.

You do not need to teach. You need to care whether the people who teach keep coming back.

### What you get

You see the programme from the inside: who joins, who stays and why. The reference we write says what you ran and how many volunteers you looked after.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. If it goes further, you talk to the person who runs TEEI Language, then take one month of new volunteers as your own.

## Community Manager, TEEI Mentorship

- Programme: Community
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/community-manager-teei-mentorship/

You make sure every mentor has somebody to ask when a session gets hard.

### What you would do

Mentors arrive with a career of experience and still wonder whether they are doing it right. The ones who stay are the ones who found other mentors to ask.

- Welcome new mentors and walk them through their first match.
- Bring mentors together in small groups to swap what works: CV reviews, interview practice, the conversations that went sideways.
- Keep a short, living set of answers to the questions every new mentor asks.
- Notice who has gone quiet and ask how they are.

### Who we are looking for

- You have mentored, managed or coached people, and you know what a stuck conversation feels like.
- You write plain English and you follow up.
- You are comfortable on video and in an online platform.

### What you get

You get to know mentors from many fields and countries, and the reference we write says exactly what you built for them.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. Going ahead means a call with the person who runs TEEI Mentorship, then one month of new mentors who are yours to welcome.

## Ukrainian Community Manager

- Programme: Community
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: Ukrainian and English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/ukrainian-community-manager/

You answer, in Ukrainian, the people who want a class and do not know where to start.

### What you would do

Many of the people TEEI works with ask their first question in Ukrainian, in a channel, late in the evening. Whoever answers decides whether they ever sign up.

- Run TEEI's Ukrainian community channel on Telegram: post new classes, groups and sessions as they open.
- Answer questions in Ukrainian, and send anyone who wants to learn, be mentored or volunteer to the right page.
- Tell us what people keep asking, so the pages answer it before they have to.
- Keep the channel a place people trust: no spam, no guesses, no promises we cannot keep.

### Who we are looking for

- Ukrainian is your first language, or you write it at that level.
- Your English is good enough to work with the team.
- You have run a channel or a group chat before, and you answer people properly.

### What you get

You are the first voice many learners hear from TEEI. Stay a while and the reference we write can say what the channel became under you.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. If it fits, you get access to the channel and run it for two weeks together with someone from the team.

## Community Moderator

- Programme: Community
- Commitment: A little time most days
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/community-moderator/

You read every comment under our posts and answer the ones that deserve an answer.

### What you would do

Questions land under a LinkedIn post, a YouTube video or an Instagram reel, and they sit there. Each one is somebody who almost reached us.

- Read the comments and messages on TEEI's channels: LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TikTok and X.
- Answer the real questions, and send people who want to learn, volunteer or partner to the right page.
- Remove spam and abuse, and hand anything sensitive to the team the same day.
- Tell us once a week what people asked, so the next post answers it.

### Who we are looking for

- You write short, kind, exact answers.
- You can tell a question from a troll, and you leave the troll alone.
- You can give it a little time most days.

### What you get

You learn what people actually want to know about volunteering and learning, which most organisations never find out. The reference says which channels you looked after.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. Going ahead means access to one channel first, and a short call about what to answer and what to hand on.

---

## Volunteer Social Media Manager

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: Flexible
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/social-media-manager/

You decide what our programmes look like to someone who has never heard of us.

### What you would do

Most people meet TEEI through a post, not a page. What they see there decides whether they find us.

- Decide what goes out, write it, and schedule it.
- Build posts from the real material we hand you: photographs, quotes from volunteers, figures that survive scrutiny.
- Answer the people who reply, and route anyone who wants to volunteer or join a class to whoever handles it.
- Once a month, tell us in numbers what worked and what you want to drop.

### Who we are looking for

- You have run channels for somebody, professionally or not.
- You write clean English and can hold a voice that is not shouty.
- You can make something look decent without a designer waiting on you.

Nobody hands you a content calendar to execute here. You get the material and the decision.

### What you get

Work with your name on it that you can show, and the channel voice is yours to set. Stay a while and the reference we write can quote reach and growth, because we will have the numbers.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. If it goes further, you talk to the person who runs communications, then take two weeks of posts so both sides can see how it works.

## Guest Blogger

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: One piece at a time
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/guest-blogger/

You write one piece about something you know, for people deciding whether to trust us.

### What you would do

We publish people who know something first hand: teachers, recruiters, people who arrived here and stayed. One piece written properly does more than ten written to fill a calendar.

- Write one article on a subject you actually know.
- Work from real sources: an interview with a volunteer or a participant, data we give you, your own field.
- Take an edit. We come back with questions and cuts, and the piece gets better.
- Write to the length the argument earns.

### Who we are looking for

- You write well in English and can hold an argument to the end of an article.
- You have written for a public audience before, published or not.
- You will say where a fact came from.

Knowing how search works helps. One finished piece with your name on it counts for more than a folder of drafts.

### What you get

Your byline on a published piece that stays online, on a site donors and partners read when they are deciding whether we are real.

### After you apply

You will hear from us. Before you write a word we agree the subject and the angle, so nobody wastes an evening on a piece we cannot run.

## Volunteer Influencer Manager

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: Flexible
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/influencer-manager/

You find the people with an audience and give them something real to say.

### What you would do

There is no advertising budget here. What there is: a story that stands up to checking, and a lot of creators who have never heard it.

- Find creators whose audience would care, and reach out.
- Give them something real to work with: a programme, a volunteer, a figure that holds.
- Keep the relationship warm after the first post, so there is a second one.
- Report what each collaboration produced, including the ones that produced nothing.

### Who we are looking for

- You have done outreach to creators, brands or press before.
- You can write a first message that a stranger answers.
- You know the platforms where this actually happens.

Both sides of every collaboration are unpaid, so the pitch has to carry it.

### What you get

Campaigns you ran end to end, and the relationships stay yours afterwards. Doing this without a budget behind you is the version that teaches you something.

### After you apply

An answer comes back either way. Going ahead starts with a call with the person who runs communications, and the first three creators you want to approach.

## Volunteer Video Content Creator

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: Per project
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/video-content-creator/

You cut the footage of what actually happens into something people watch to the end.

### What you would do

The footage exists: sessions, volunteers talking straight into a laptop camera, events. Most of it has never been cut.

- Turn the raw material into short videos people watch to the end.
- Make the campaign versions when there is a push on, in the format each channel needs.
- Record or gather what is missing, remotely, when we can arrange it.
- Deliver on the agreed date, project files included.

### Who we are looking for

- You edit competently in whatever software you already use.
- You can tell a story in under a minute, and you know when to leave a silence in.
- You can run a project without being chased.

Consent rules are strict. Some people cannot be shown at all. We tell you which footage is clear and you respect it.

### What you get

Finished work for your reel with real people in it rather than stock, and your name in the credits wherever you want it.

### After you apply

Someone writes back. The first project is one video: a brief, the footage, and a date.

## Volunteer Translator

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: One batch at a time
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English, plus Ukrainian, Polish or Norwegian
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/volunteer-translator/

You make sure a learner can read every page, email and button in their own language.

### What you would do

TEEI Language and TEEI Mentorship run in English, Ukrainian, Polish and Norwegian. A translation that is nearly right reads as careless to the one person who needs it to be right.

- Translate pages, emails and platform text from English into your language.
- Review machine translations and fix what a native reader would trip on.
- Keep a short glossary, so the same thing has the same name everywhere.
- Flag text that does not work in your language at all, so we rewrite it at the source.

### Who we are looking for

- Ukrainian, Polish or Norwegian is your first language, or you write it at that level.
- Your English is strong enough to catch what a sentence means, not only what it says.
- You are careful with small things: buttons, dates, names.

### What you get

Translation that real people read every day, and a reference that says which language and how much.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. Going further means a short test piece from a live page, then a first batch of your own.

## Blog Editor

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/blog-editor/

You commission, edit and fact-check the pieces on our blog before anyone reads them.

### What you would do

A blog is only worth reading if every piece on it holds up. An editor is the reason it does.

- Commission pieces from volunteers and guest writers, and say what each one is for.
- Edit for clarity and cut what does not earn its place.
- Check every figure and claim against its source, and send back what has none.
- Keep the publishing calendar realistic: fewer pieces, all of them good.

### Who we are looking for

- You have edited other people's writing, professionally or not.
- You write clean English and you notice the small mistakes.
- You ask for the source instead of trusting the sentence.

### What you get

An editor's credit on published work, and a reference that says what you commissioned and edited.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. Going further means editing one draft that is waiting now.

## Story Interviewer

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: One interview at a time
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English. Ukrainian helps.
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/story-interviewer/

You interview volunteers and learners over video, with their consent, so their story is told in their own words.

### What you would do

The strongest thing TEEI can show is a real person saying what changed, in their own words. Nobody collects those words unless it is somebody's job.

- Interview volunteers and learners over video, about what they did and what changed.
- Ask for written consent before anything is recorded or used, and respect a no.
- Transcribe, and pick out the lines worth using without changing what was meant.
- Hand over the recording, the transcript and the consent together.

### Who we are looking for

- You listen well and you ask the second question.
- You have interviewed people before: as a journalist, researcher, recruiter or podcaster.
- You treat other people's stories with care.

### What you get

Interviews that get published, and the rare chance to hear what this work changed from the people it changed.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. If it fits, we set up your first interview together.

## Volunteer Graphic Designer

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: Per project
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/graphic-designer/

You make our posts, guides and one-pagers look like they came from people who care.

### What you would do

People decide in a second whether something is worth reading. The design is what they decide on.

- Design social posts, guides for learners and volunteers, and one-page summaries.
- Work from the real material we give you: photographs, quotes, measured figures.
- Keep a small set of templates so the rest of the team can make simple things well.
- Say no to a design that hides the point.

### Who we are looking for

- You have a portfolio, professional or not.
- You work in Figma, Canva, Adobe or similar.
- You can take a brief and come back with one strong option rather than ten weak ones.

### What you get

Published work with your name on it, for an organisation people can check. The reference we write lists what you designed.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. If it fits, you get one real brief first, and we see how we work together.

## Search and Google Ads Volunteer

- Programme: Communications
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/search-ads-volunteer/

You help the right people find us on Google, with the search advertising Google gives nonprofits.

### What you would do

TEEI has a Google Ad Grant: search advertising Google gives nonprofits at no cost. It is worth a lot only when the ads reach people looking for exactly what we offer.

- Improve the keywords, ads and landing pages for one campaign at a time.
- Read what people actually searched, and cut the searches that waste the grant.
- Keep the account inside the grant's rules.
- Report what changed, in clicks, sign-ups and cost per sign-up.

### Who we are looking for

- You have run Google Ads or SEO, professionally or for your own projects.
- You can read a search terms report and know what to cut.
- You change one thing at a time and measure it.

### What you get

A real account with a real budget and your own decisions in it. The reference says what you changed and what it did.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. Going further means read access first, and one campaign to propose changes to.

## Digital Skills Class Instructor

- Programme: Skills Academy
- Commitment: Per class
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/digital-skills-class-instructor/

You teach a live class in the software people need on a CV.

### What you would do

Skills Academy runs fourteen tracks, from data science and cloud to UX and CV training. Every one of them needs somebody who uses the tools at work rather than somebody who has read about them.

- Teach one live online class in something you do professionally.
- Pick the topic. We tell you what learners keep asking for, you decide what you can teach well.
- Run the session, take the questions, and leave the material so people can practise.
- Tell us who got lost, so the next class puts the right people in the room.

### Who we are looking for

- You use the tool you want to teach in real work.
- You have taught, trained or presented to adults before.
- You can teach in English and hold a room over video.

One class is a real contribution. Instructors who come back and run a series are how a topic turns into a track.

### What you get

A recording of you teaching your own subject, which is yours to keep, and a room of adults learning it because they need the work. The reference we write names the classes you ran.

### After you apply

A person answers, by email. After that it is short: topic, level, date, and the format we teach in.

---

## Webinar Facilitator

- Programme: Skills Academy
- Commitment: Per session
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/webinar-facilitator/

You keep the live session running so the instructor can teach.

### What you would do

An instructor teaching a live class cannot also watch the chat, admit latecomers, fix somebody's audio and keep time. That is a second person, and it is the difference between a session that works and one that falls apart.

- Open the room, let people in, and keep the chat moving.
- Collect the questions and put them to the instructor when they fit.
- Handle whatever breaks, without stopping the session.
- Send the recording and the follow-up material to everyone who came.

### Who we are looking for

- You stay organised while something live is happening.
- You know your way around video meeting tools and their settings.
- You write clear English in a chat window, quickly.

No subject expertise needed. You are not teaching. You are the reason the teaching goes smoothly.

### What you get

You see every subject we run taught from the inside, which is the fastest way to work out what you could teach yourself. A reference follows a run of sessions.

### After you apply

You will get a reply. If it fits, you sit in on one session as a second pair of hands, then run the next one yourself.

## Volunteer Coordinator

- Programme: Community
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/volunteer-coordinator/

You check in on new volunteers after their first sessions and keep track of who has earned a reference.

### What you would do

Volunteers who stay get a written reference from us with their hours in it. Somebody has to keep track of who is due one, and somebody has to ask the new ones how it went.

- Check in with volunteers after their first sessions: what worked, what did not, what they need.
- Keep the volunteer list current: who is active, who is paused, who has moved on.
- Draft the references for volunteers who stay, from their recorded hours.
- Pass problems to the programme team the same week, with the facts.

### Who we are looking for

- You are organised and you finish the list you started.
- You write clear, friendly English.
- You are comfortable in an admin tool and a spreadsheet.

### What you get

You see in detail what makes volunteers stay. That is useful in any job that manages people, and the reference we write you says what you ran.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. Going further means a call about the admin tool, then the check-ins for one month of new volunteers.

---

## Volunteer Recruiter

- Programme: Community
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/volunteer-recruiter/

You go looking for the volunteers learners are waiting for, instead of waiting for them to find us.

### What you would do

Learners ask for languages and fields we cannot always cover. The gap closes when somebody goes looking for the right volunteer.

- Post our open roles on the job boards, university pages and communities where volunteers look.
- Search for people with the language or field we are short of, and invite them personally.
- Keep track of where applications come from, so we post more where it works.
- Answer candidates' questions before they apply.

### Who we are looking for

- You have recruited or sourced people, or you are good at finding them online.
- You write a message people actually answer.
- You keep careful notes.

### What you get

Real sourcing work with your own decisions in it, and numbers you can show: who you found and who stayed.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. If it fits, you get one gap to fill first, with the role, the language and what the learners need.

---

## Volunteer Web Developer

- Programme: Technology
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/volunteer-web-developer/

You build and fix the pages and features people use to learn, mentor and sign up.

### What you would do

TEEI builds its own website and learning platforms. Every bug a volunteer fixes is a learner who does not get stuck on a sign-up form.

- Take one scoped task at a time: a bug, a page, a small feature.
- Work in TypeScript, on Astro and React Router, running on Cloudflare.
- Write the test that proves it works, and say how you checked it.
- Everything you write is reviewed before it goes live.

### Who we are looking for

- You write TypeScript professionally, or at that level.
- You have shipped web work that real people used.
- You take review well and you test your own work.

### What you get

Production work on platforms people use every day, and a reference that names what you shipped.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. Going further means a call with the team, then one small task of your own.

---

## Volunteer Product Designer

- Programme: Technology
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/product-designer/

You design the screens a learner sees when they sign up, book an hour and come back.

### What you would do

Our platforms run in English, Ukrainian, Polish and Norwegian, on laptops and phones. A screen that is clear to the person who designed it can be a wall to the person using it.

- Design flows end to end: sign-up, booking, the first session, coming back.
- Test them with real people on real phones, and change what they trip on.
- Hand designs over in a form developers can build without guessing.
- Keep the screens consistent across programmes.

### Who we are looking for

- You have designed digital products, professionally or close to it.
- You work in Figma or similar.
- You can show a flow you changed because of what users did.

### What you get

Design work that ships to a live product, with the user testing to show for it.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. Going further means a call, then one flow to look at with fresh eyes.

---

## Accessibility and Mobile Tester

- Programme: Technology
- Commitment: One test round at a time
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English. Ukrainian, Polish or Norwegian helps.
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/accessibility-tester/

You use our platforms the way learners do, on a phone or with a screen reader, and tell us where they break.

### What you would do

A page that works on a developer's laptop can fail on an old phone, in Ukrainian, with large text. Only someone who tries it that way finds out.

- Walk through sign-up, booking and a session on real phones, in the languages the platforms offer.
- Test with a screen reader, with the keyboard only and with large text.
- Write each problem down so a developer can repeat it: where, on what, and what happened.
- Check again when it is fixed.

### Who we are looking for

- You are patient and exact.
- You know the basics of web accessibility, or want to learn them properly.
- You have a phone and the time to try things carefully.

### What you get

Real testing on live products, and a reference that says what you found and what got fixed.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. Going further means one flow to test first, with a short guide to how we log problems.

---

## Onboarding Class Coordinator

- Programme: Operations
- Commitment: Flexible
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/onboarding-class-coordinator/

You get new learners from signed up to sitting in their first class.

### What you would do

People sign up in a burst of resolve and then go quiet. Somebody has to reach them while the resolve is still there, or the sign-up meant nothing.

- Take the learners who registered and get them into a first class: check the level, place them, confirm the time.
- Chase the ones who go silent, before they drift off for good.
- Keep the teacher informed about who is coming and at what level.
- Flag the cases the system cannot decide, so a person decides them.

### Who we are looking for

- You are organised and you finish the list you started.
- You write plain, friendly English in email.
- You are comfortable in an admin tool and a spreadsheet.

This is unglamorous work, and it decides whether somebody who signed up ever sits in a class.

### What you get

You end up seeing the whole machine: who applies, who arrives, where it breaks. Coordinators know the programme better than almost anyone, and the reference we write says exactly what you ran.

### After you apply

An answer comes back to you either way. Going ahead means a call to walk through the admin tool, then one intake group of your own.

---

## Grant Writer

- Programme: Funding
- Commitment: Per application
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/grant-writer/

You write the applications that pay for the classes.

### What you would do

Every class on this board is free to the person taking it because somebody wrote an application that got funded. That is the entire mechanism.

- Find funders whose programme genuinely matches ours, and drop the ones that do not.
- Write the case, the budget narrative and the outcomes, in the funder's own format.
- Work from our real figures, which we give you, and ask when something is missing.
- Keep the deadline. A late application is a lost one.

### Who we are looking for

- You have written grant applications, or comparable formal proposals.
- You write precisely and can follow a form without losing the argument.
- You ask for the facts you need instead of filling the gap yourself.

Take one application at a time. There is no pipeline to sign up to.

### What you get

If what you wrote lands, we tell you what it paid for, in classes and in people. Very little writing work closes that loop.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. If it fits, you get one live opportunity: its deadline, its criteria, our numbers, and the writing is yours.

---

## Event Coordinator

- Programme: Operations
- Commitment: Per event
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/event-coordinator/

You make the online events happen on the day.

### What you would do

An online event runs fine until the speaker cancels, the link is wrong, and nobody sent the reminder. A coordinator is the reason none of that happens.

- Run one event end to end: date, speakers, registration, reminders, and the day itself.
- Keep the single document that tells everybody involved what happens when.
- Work the day. Let people in, hold the time, fix what breaks.
- Close it out: recording, follow-up, and what to do differently next time.

### Who we are looking for

- You have organised events, online or in person, professionally or not.
- You stay calm when a speaker cancels two hours before.
- You write clearly to speakers and to attendees.

Events are taken one at a time. Say yes to the ones you have room for.

### What you get

Events that are yours, start to finish, with your own decisions in them. That is hard to get in a job where somebody senior owns the day.

### After you apply

You hear back from a person. Taking it further means one upcoming event handed to you, with its date, its speakers and its constraints.

## Impact Data Analyst

- Programme: Operations
- Commitment: A few hours a month
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/impact-data-analyst/

You turn what the platforms measure into numbers someone outside TEEI can check.

### What you would do

Our platforms measure sessions, hours and the countries people join from. The numbers only matter when someone outside can read them and trust them.

- Work from the measured data we give you: sessions, hours, countries, programmes.
- Build the tables and charts our reports use, and say how each number was counted.
- Find what the data does not show, and say so instead of filling the gap.
- Keep the method written down, so the next analyst gets the same answer.

### Who we are looking for

- You work with data professionally: SQL, a spreadsheet or a notebook.
- You care more about a number being right than about it being big.
- You can explain a method in plain English.

### What you get

Real, messy, important data, and analysis that is published with its method. The reference we write names what you built.

### After you apply

Someone replies by email. Going further means a call, then one question to answer from the data.

---

## Fundraising Specialist

- Programme: Funding
- Commitment: Flexible
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/fundraising-specialist/

You find the money that keeps the programmes free.

### What you would do

Every hour of teaching on this board is free to the person receiving it. Somebody has to ask for the money that makes that true, and asking well is a skill.

- Build a campaign that says plainly what the money pays for.
- Work the donor side: prospects, meetings, and the follow-up that usually never happens.
- Keep every figure honest, from our canonical numbers.
- Tell us what is working, and what to stop.

### Who we are looking for

- You have raised money before, for a nonprofit, a campaign, a club or a company.
- You can ask directly, and be told no without it stopping you.
- You keep records.

The programmes stay free because this work happens. There is no version of this role that avoids the ask.

### What you get

You see the line from what came in to the classes it paid for. Almost no fundraising job shows you that end of it.

### After you apply

We write back either way. If it works, we go through the funding picture on a call and agree what you take first.

---

## Partnerships Volunteer

- Programme: Funding
- Commitment: A few hours a week
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/partnerships-volunteer/

You find companies whose people want to mentor or teach, and open the first conversation.

### What you would do

One company that says yes can bring many of its people as mentors and instructors. Most companies have never heard of us.

- Research companies whose people match what learners ask for: languages, careers, technical skills.
- Find the person who runs volunteering or people programmes there.
- Write the first message, and follow up.
- Hand the warm conversations to the team, with your notes.

### Who we are looking for

- You have done business development, sales or partnerships work.
- You write a first message people answer.
- You keep careful notes and you follow up.

### What you get

You see a partnership from the first message to the first employee who volunteers. The reference names what you opened.

### After you apply

We read it and write back. Going further means a call, then a short list of companies to start with.

## Senior Advisory Council Member

- Programme: Governance
- Commitment: A few times a year
- Where: Remote. You can apply from United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia
- Languages: English
- Unpaid volunteer role
- Role page and how to apply: https://theeducationalequalityinstitute.org/volunteer/roles/senior-advisory-council-member/

You advise on where TEEI should be in three years, and say so plainly.

### What you would do

TEEI is small and the decisions in front of it are not: which programmes to grow, which to stop, which funders are worth the year it takes to win them. The council exists so those decisions are not made alone.

- Advise on where the organisation should be in three years, and say so plainly when the answer is uncomfortable.
- Bring judgement to specific choices rather than general encouragement.
- Open doors. Introductions to companies, funders, and people who should know this work exists.
- Meet a few times a year, and be reachable in between when something real comes up.

### Who we are looking for

- You have led at a senior level in business, philanthropy or the nonprofit sector.
- You have a network, and you are willing to use it.
