Story cards and story videos

A conversation, ready to share.

After a conversation, a card is ready in the app: a line on the map from your city to your partner’s, how many conversations you’ve had, or a sentence in your own words. You can also record a story video in the app, on your own or together during a session in TEEI’s video room.

  • Yours to share. You share from your own phone, as a Story or a post. TEEI never posts for you.
  • Everyone agrees first. A video is shared only when everyone in it has approved that version.
  • Made from real conversations. Every card comes from a verified conversation.

How a card is made

  1. A conversation is verified.A completed booking in the same programme, with both of you connected at the same time for at least five minutes.
  2. The app offers what it can draw.The line between your cities, the number you have reached, or a sentence your partner said. Only from verified conversations.
  3. You choose the card and can change the text.A sentence of more than twenty words gets no card.
  4. It is drawn with a code on it.A 9.5-second video and a still for a Story, an image for the feed. A changed card gets a new file.
  5. You share it from your own phone.LinkedIn posts to your own profile. Instagram and TikTok open your phone’s share sheet. TEEI never posts for you.

What stays with you

  • Your wordsYou pick the card and edit its text before anything is drawn.
  • Names only when switched onThe volunteer’s first name appears on the learner’s card only when she turns it on. Off by default.

    From the room to the record.

    JoinThe first event from the room: someone has come in. Connected time starts when both people are there.
    Drop · rejoinA connection is lost and comes back. The gap between those two events is not counted as connected time.
    LeaveThe last event: the room empties. With at least five shared minutes, the session is settled as completed.

      We agree who teaches, how materials may be used and what support is needed. Your organisation retains ownership of its programme and helps shape how it reaches new groups.

    • Help create an opportunity that is missing

      Tell us about a need that current opportunities do not meet.

    What becomes possible together

    Imagine several organisations each supporting a few people who need the same help. Another organisation has a suitable short programme, a professional can lead the session, and each local team can help its own participants join. Working with TEEI, they could combine those contributions into a shared group that none would have arranged alone.

    • Programme eligibility, participants’ goals and available opportunities guide the starting point.
    • Your organisation can seek opportunities, contribute to delivery or do both. Contributing a programme or volunteers is not a requirement for receiving support.

    In TEEI Network Workspace the assistant explains, shows, fills in, carries out and hands over. It works on every page, from your own workspace, in six languages, and says so when it does not know. Your volunteers and participants have their own, the TEEI assistant, in TEEI Language and Mentorship.

    What it does

    1. ExplainsAnswers from your workspace, with your own report numbers, and names the source.
    2. ShowsPoints at the right place on any page. On a phone it opens the menu first.
    3. Fills inA private class request, a class your people teach, an invitation, your profile or your report settings, from what you wrote. You check and send.
    4. Carries outSends the request or the invitation you confirmed, and says Done only when it is done.
    5. Remembers your taskKeeps it from page to page and shows where you are: Your task 2 of 4.
    6. Speaks your languageEnglish, Norwegian, Ukrainian, Polish, Spanish and Portuguese.
    7. Continues in TEEI LanguageCarries a Speaking Café or group draft over to TEEI Language, on your own account. Only the draft goes with you.
    8. Your people have the TEEI assistantIn TEEI Language and Mentorship your volunteers and participants search or ask it, and set up a group from one line.
    9. Hands overGives your question to a person at TEEI, with the conversation when you choose to include it.

    What it does not do

    • Send anything you have not seen.Every message and every form waits for your check.
    • Change your numbers.The ledger counts what happened. The assistant cannot edit it.
    • Guess.When it does not know, it says so and hands over.
