Project Manager Volunteer

Volunteering your skills as a project manager is a chance to have a real impact on people’s lives while gaining valuable experience and knowledge.

Our project managers lead and coordinate all the tasks to be accomplished by the project teams. They are involved directly in some of the tasks, but the primary responsibility is to keep the project focused, reach the programs’ goals, and guide the team along the way.

We are looking for volunteer Program/Project Managers who could help with or take on the following tasks:

Role Scope

  • Extensive track record of successfully managing a programme or project from development to implementation
  • Proven ability to deliver projects on time / on budget
  • In coordination with project team members, manage the day-to-day details of projects, including the plan, schedule, resources, task assignments, scope, communications, and launch project initiatives
  • Support business needs by leading the effort to develop creative approaches to problem solving and ensuring quality deliverables
  • Report schedule and delivery details on a regular basis to project stakeholders and leadership. Ensure risks are appropriately documented and escalated in good time
  • Experience, knowledge, and proficiency with Project Management tools, especially monday.com
  • Foster open communication within the team on project planning and execution by facilitating

Qualifications and Experience

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Critical and creative thinker with collaborative spirit
  • Can-do-attitude and eager to learn new things
  • Efficient, proactive, and a hands-on approach
  • Strong experience managing projects
  • Ability to build relationships with both internal and external stakeholders
  • People management experience in a complex fast-paced environment, with proven track record of scaling and developing teams
  • Passion to learn new tools and processes and always seeks out “a better way” of doing things
  • Advanced English language
