TEEI runs Skills Academy, language practice and professional mentoring, and builds the platforms behind them. Our programmes support adults developing professional skills or rebuilding their working lives. We connect learning resources, practical work and human support, with the systems to organise delivery and document participation.

Your team can teach, contribute learning content, bring technology into our services or develop something with us. You can also bring an existing programme or participant group and use TEEI for an agreed part of the delivery.

One partnership can combine these contributions.

What your team gains

Practical learning around your technology

Help people move from trying a tool to using it on a meaningful task. Your product knowledge becomes part of the teaching, with room for questions, mistakes and revision.

Work worth sharing and building on

Develop practical examples, implementation knowledge and agreed case studies. For a technical collaboration, this can include an evaluation, integration or reference implementation. For a learning programme, it can include completed work and the story of how participants used what they learned, shared with their permission.

Bring a question about model behaviour, speech, retrieval, AI feedback or practical use. TEEI contributes programme context, evaluation design and application engineering. Work together on reproducible evaluations, failure analyses, reference implementations or research publications.

Skills Academy combines self-paced learning with live classes, workshops, clinics, expert Q&A and webinars. Practical AI sits within a broader professional-skills offer, alongside the subject knowledge people need to judge and use the technology.

A finance professional can build on finance experience. A beginner can start with everyday tasks. A developer can work on applications and evaluation. The starting point is the person’s goal and existing skills.

    AI at work and in a profession

    Create a source-checked briefing, improve a spreadsheet or develop a campaign brief. Participants practise directing the tool, checking its output and explaining the decisions behind the finished work.

    Data and automation

    Build a workflow that organises sample enquiries, prepares a response and routes it for human review. Participants explain the data flow, test a failure case and decide which steps should remain with a person.

  3. Class series

    AI application development

    Build a small document assistant that answers from a defined source collection. Participants work on retrieval, source references, evaluation cases, error handling and a clear cost boundary, with technical feedback appropriate to their experience.

From learning to practical work

Your team contributes a relevant course, tool access and specialist sessions. TEEI coordinates a programme around a practical project.

  1. Learn the foundations

    Participants use selected learning resources and connect the material to a specific task. The course provides a starting point; the project gives them a reason to apply it.

  2. Work with a practitioner

    An instructor demonstrates an approach. Participants try it, bring their own questions and get feedback through a workshop, class or clinic.

  3. Review and improve the work

    Participants check sources, correct errors and revise their output. The review looks at their decisions and understanding, as well as what they produced.

  4. Carry the skill forward

    A completed piece of work supports the next conversation: further learning, a more demanding project or individual career guidance through TEEI Mentorship. Mentoring can also support participants before and during the programme.

Course completion, a provider’s certificate and a TEEI-reviewed piece of work remain distinct. Together, they can show both what someone studied and how they applied it.

Approved instructors publish and manage their own sessions.

L2SAFE: the learner language gap

Does an AI system respond as safely and accurately when the same intended question is expressed in learner English rather than fluent English?

TEEI’s L2SAFE research investigates that question. It offers a concrete starting point for collaboration on language understanding, evaluation and the behaviour of systems used by people learning a language.

Develop source-grounded answers, test how retrieval behaves on learner questions or compare model feedback with expert review. Define the task, reference material and evaluation criteria together.

Developer tools and connected services

Support platform development with coding tools, model capacity or engineering expertise. Or connect programme delivery to an organisation’s existing systems. TEEI retains product responsibility and documents the work, tests and implementation findings.

Before we start

Can our people teach our own product?
Yes. Practical product education belongs in Skills Academy. Sessions should help participants develop a skill, with the provider clearly identified. They are not sales presentations, and participant details are not collected for marketing.
Do we need to provide content, technology and instructors?
No. A useful contribution can stand on its own. You can bring learning resources, specialist time, technology, development capacity or an existing programme. Contributions can also come from more than one organisation.
Can our existing courses stay on our platform?
Yes. TEEI can organise practical learning and support around them. Content use, tool access and any provider-issued certificates follow the arrangements agreed for the programme.
Is a donation or participation fee required?
No. TEEI is a nonprofit. Your team contributes time, expertise or other agreed resources, not a participation fee. No donation is required, and TEEI programmes are free for participants.
How do research and case studies work?
Research involvement and permission to share someone’s work or story are separate from programme participation. Research findings remain independent of the result either organisation hopes to see.
