You write one piece about something you know, for people deciding whether to trust us.
Communications · Remote · One piece at a time
This role supports TEEI's communications work.
What you would do
We publish people who know something first hand: teachers, recruiters, people who arrived here and stayed. One piece written properly does more than ten written to fill a calendar.
- Write one article on a subject you actually know.
- Work from real sources: an interview with a volunteer or a participant, data we give you, your own field.
- Take an edit. We come back with questions and cuts, and the piece gets better.
- Write to the length the argument earns.
Who we are looking for
- You write well in English and can hold an argument to the end of an article.
- You have written for a public audience before, published or not.
- You will say where a fact came from.
Knowing how search works helps. One finished piece with your name on it counts for more than a folder of drafts.
What you get
Your byline on a published piece that stays online, on a site donors and partners read when they are deciding whether we are real.
After you apply
You will hear from us. Before you write a word we agree the subject and the angle, so nobody wastes an evening on a piece we cannot run.
Where you can apply from: United States, Canada, United Kingdom, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand, Norway, Sweden, Denmark, Finland, Iceland, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, Netherlands, Belgium, Luxembourg, France, Spain, Italy, Portugal, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Hungary, Romania, Bulgaria, Greece, Croatia, Slovenia, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Ukraine, Moldova, Nigeria, Kenya, Ghana, South Africa, Morocco, Egypt, Uganda, India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Philippines, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Japan, Israel, United Arab Emirates, Türkiye, Brazil, Mexico, Argentina, Chile, Colombia.
