Education

Learning with practical purpose.

Our education programmes bring language learning, professional skills and career guidance together. Participants learn with teachers, practise with volunteers and draw on the experience of professionals in their field.

Courses, conversations and mentoring serve different purposes. Together, they give people more ways to continue their education and develop their careers.

  1. The TEEI Language app, where a learner browses volunteers to practise with

    TEEI Language

    Confidence grows through conversation.

TEEI Language gives adults a place to practise with approved volunteers, one to one and in small groups. Sessions focus on using a language in the conversations that matter at work, in education and in everyday life.

Between sessions, Practice Companion supports independent English practice through writing, listening and speaking activities built around everyday situations.

  2. The rhythm of a group course: classes with a teacher two or three times a week, month by month, with materials, tasks and progress in itslearning between classes

    TEEI Language Courses

Structured learning. A teacher to guide it.

Our online language courses bring learners together with volunteer teachers. Regular lessons, shared learning materials and a course schedule provide a framework for developing language skills over time.

The courses complement conversation practice with teaching, coursework and guided learning.

Health Support

Someone who understands.
Support that recognises the people around you.

TEEI’s health work includes peer support for people affected by cancer and support for family members and informal caregivers.

One Connection

A conversation with someone who has been through cancer.

One Connection offers one-to-one video peer support with someone who has experienced cancer, with the same diagnosis and similar treatment where possible.

It is a personal conversation with someone who brings their own experience of cancer. This is peer support, not therapy or a replacement for professional care.

About One Connection

Caregiver Support

Caregivers need support too.

Caregiver Support focuses on family and informal caregivers, bringing together support and evidence work that recognises their needs and experiences.

Research

Questions grounded in the work.

TEEI Research examines education, health access, AI and impact measurement through the programmes we run.

Our research spans seven areas of enquiry, alongside dedicated learner-language research. We publish our findings so that others can examine the evidence, consider the conclusions and build on what we learn.

Advocacy & Policy

Evidence for stronger rights and better standards.

Our advocacy addresses the rights of children, girls, refugees and patients, alongside data protection and ESG reporting standards.

We develop and publish positions that set out the case for reform. Our contribution is through evidence, open-access educational material and clearly identified sources, making the reasoning behind each position available for scrutiny.

Compliance

Reporting connected to the work.

Our Compliance programme provides tools that help companies understand and report their participation in TEEI programmes.

Reporting draws on programme activity, connecting an organisation’s contribution with the sessions and participation behind it.

Evenhall

Your team’s contribution, in one place.

Evenhall gives companies a shared workspace for employee participation and programme reporting. Teams can bring employees into TEEI programmes, follow their involvement and report recorded activity with the supporting evidence.

Companies remain responsible for their own disclosures. TEEI provides reporting tools, not an independent audit.

Language for Ukrainians platform is an amazing way to connect with people who speak English really

well, and just to practice each week. 30 minutes of oral practice will be great for your language.

I come to the lesson prepared. We discuss different topics. Many Ukrainians would like to

improve their business English, which makes sense, so we discuss different topics: remote working.

We discuss meetings, and how to hold a meeting in English, or how to present at a meeting. Watch

programs in English. You can always put the Ukrainian subtitles on, which really helps you

make the connection between your own language and the English language. Listen to podcasts, read books.

But there are many things that you can be doing day to day that will help improve your language skills,

and speaking English is really important in the, in the business world. Many companies use English as

their main language, because they are global. And if you are now living in a different country, looking

for a new job, working on your English skills is one of the best things that you can, you can do. I think

it's really important that you are practicing regularly, and I really enjoy meeting with my Ukrainian students

on a regular basis.
