Blog Editor
You commission, edit and fact-check the pieces on our blog before anyone reads them.
Communications · Remote · A few hours a week
This role supports TEEI's communications work.
What you would do
A blog is only worth reading if every piece on it holds up. An editor is the reason it does.
- Commission pieces from volunteers and guest writers, and say what each one is for.
- Edit for clarity and cut what does not earn its place.
- Check every figure and claim against its source, and send back what has none.
- Keep the publishing calendar realistic: fewer pieces, all of them good.
Who we are looking for
- You have edited other people's writing, professionally or not.
- You write clean English and you notice the small mistakes.
- You ask for the source instead of trusting the sentence.
What you get
An editor's credit on published work, and a reference that says what you commissioned and edited.
After you apply
We read it and write back. Going further means editing one draft that is waiting now.
