Story Interviewer

You interview volunteers and learners over video, with their consent, so their story is told in their own words.

Communications · Remote · One interview at a time

This role supports TEEI's communications work.

What you would do

The strongest thing TEEI can show is a real person saying what changed, in their own words. Nobody collects those words unless it is somebody's job.

  • Interview volunteers and learners over video, about what they did and what changed.
  • Ask for written consent before anything is recorded or used, and respect a no.
  • Transcribe, and pick out the lines worth using without changing what was meant.
  • Hand over the recording, the transcript and the consent together.

Who we are looking for

  • You listen well and you ask the second question.
  • You have interviewed people before: as a journalist, researcher, recruiter or podcaster.
  • You treat other people's stories with care.

What you get

Interviews that get published, and the rare chance to hear what this work changed from the people it changed.
