Volunteer Translator

You make sure a learner can read every page, email and button in their own language.

Communications · Remote · One batch at a time

This role supports TEEI's communications work.

What you would do

TEEI Language and TEEI Mentorship run in English, Ukrainian, Polish and Norwegian. A translation that is nearly right reads as careless to the one person who needs it to be right.

  • Translate pages, emails and platform text from English into your language.
  • Review machine translations and fix what a native reader would trip on.
  • Keep a short glossary, so the same thing has the same name everywhere.
  • Flag text that does not work in your language at all, so we rewrite it at the source.

Who we are looking for

  • Ukrainian, Polish or Norwegian is your first language, or you write it at that level.
  • Your English is strong enough to catch what a sentence means, not only what it says.
  • You are careful with small things: buttons, dates, names.

What you get

Translation that real people read every day, and a reference that says which language and how much.

After you apply

Someone replies by email. Going further means a short test piece from a live page, then a first batch of your own.
