Italian Language Teacher
You teach Italian online to people starting over in Italy.
TEEI Language · Remote · Schedule set with the group
Part of TEEI Language. See how the programme works and who it supports.
What you would do
In Italy the paperwork is in Italian and nobody slows down for you. These learners are building a life there anyway.
- Teach an online cohort over eight to twelve weeks, from the material we provide.
- Put first what they use immediately: the office, the workplace, the school, the neighbours.
- Keep the level honest, so what they learn this week works this week.
- Tell us what the group needs next. You hear it before we do.
A TEEI Language volunteer
“It gives them an opportunity to speak to a native English speaker, and they practice their English and it builds their confidence.”
Charmaine D., Language Partner
Who we are looking for
- You speak Italian at native or near-native level.
- You have taught or tutored adults before.
- You can hold a group and keep an agreed weekly schedule.
Beginners are the norm. Most learners are decoding the language and the bureaucracy at the same time.
What you get
A cohort you take from nothing to functional without building a curriculum first, and a reference naming the course you ran.
After you apply
Someone reads it and writes back. From there, if it works: the level and the schedule are agreed with you, and the material is in your hands before the first session.
