“But I’m not a teacher.”
A video call when you both have time. No lesson plans, no grading, just conversation, the one thing a learner cannot practise alone.

Tatyana M. – TEEI Mentorship mentor
I've been a mentor for Mentors for Ukraine program
for around a year now because I'm Ukrainian,
and I want to support people in their journey.
I think the majority of challenges are the war,
unfortunately, and people are losing their jobs.
People had to find [the]
a new place in another country if they moved.
So it's like a mix of fears, of emotions.
When mentees come to my session,
I always ask them as a partner,
"How do you want this session (to) look like?"
"Do you want a career advice?"
"Do you want to talk?"
"Do you want psychological support?"
I'm always there for them.
It's [kind of] human approach to see
that I have a person [with a personal]
with their personal life, personal thoughts, emotions.
I'm discussing.
I'm not choosing what I want and how I want.
I'm just asking,
"Do you feel comfortable if we go this way or if we go that way?"
The most rewarding thing through experience was
smile and gratitude from my mentees.
If you want to become a mentor, you don't need to be afraid.
Don't be afraid.
Just go and share with your knowledge,
with your experience, and just act.
So if you are a mentee and you are looking for international career,
just join the Mentors for Ukraine program
and start connecting with mentors.
